Sunglasses are hugely important. Sometimes a fashion statement, always essential protection against the sun’s strong rays. We stock a full range of sunglasses all year round and, as with our glasses, we do our best to cater for all tastes. You’ll find some of the most popular fashion brands in our sunglass collection, in addition to a few less well-known but equally exciting ranges and some more functional types too. All our sunglasses offer UVA and UVB protection – never buy a pair of sunglasses that do not contain the official UV kitemark.

In the old days, if you needed to wear sunglasses with a prescription in them, your choices were somewhat limited. No longer. Not only has the range of specialist prescription sunglasses increased dramatically, but more and more designers are creating sunglasses bearing in mind the huge number of people who need prescription sun-protection. In practice this means designing frames with a particular type of shape so standard lenses can be easily replaced with prescription ones. Our staff can advise you of which frames could be converted into prescription sunglasses.

In addition, we have a good collection of sports sunglasses from Oakley, Adidas and others, which can be ordered with different coloured lenses, depending on which sport(s) you play.

We also stock a range of sunglasses made especially for driving. These are designed to cut out the glare and make your drive more comfortable and safer.
